Ingredients For Honey Mustard Glazed Carrots

Find the full printable recipe with specific measurements and directions below in the recipe card.
- whole carrots – washed, peeled and sliced into coins. You can also use baby carrots but you may need to cook them slightly longer and add a little more water, so they soften or cut them into smaller pieces. Rainbow carrots are also a fun way to add more color to your plate with this recipe, especially for kids.
- honey – this makes that glaze!
- Dijon mustard – stone ground mustard can be swapped spoonful for spoonful. You can use dried mustard powder, see notes. Yellow mustard can be used, but I personally don’t enjoy the flavor quite as much.
- garlic powder
- butter steak seasoning (I used Kinder’s buttery steak seasoning).
- olive oil
If you don’t have the Kinder’s buttery steak seasoning, see the notes in the recipe card for a substitute, you’ll need salt, pepper, paprika, additional garlic powder and butter for this vegetable recipe.
How To Make Honey Mustard Carrots
- Peel carrots, then slice carrots into 1/2 inch thick rounds and set aside.
- In a small bowl add honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder and butter steak seasoning. Stir to mix together.

- Place a large saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil and allow to heat.
- Add carrots to the oiled pan and allow them to heat, stirring frequently for about a minute. Pour the water in and cook the carrots for 4-6 minutes, stirring frequently until they just begin to soften.

- Pour the honey mustard mixture over the carrots and stir until the carrots are fully coated. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring as needed to prevent them from sticking to the pan. Then serve the glazed carrots and enjoy, sprinkle with a fresh chopped parsley garnish if you like and extra salt and pepper to taste at the table.

This fun, snacky main that plays well with the sweet and tangy carrot flavor and is a fun option for kids. Crispy Chicken Thighs – These quick to make chicken thighs have no breading but still have a crispy outside. You can literally make the carrots while the chicken thighs cook! We liked these chicken thighs so much I’ve made a Ranch Flavored Chicken Thighs and a Garlic Parmesan Flavored Chicken Thigh using the same method.

How Long Will Honey Mustard Carrots Last?
You can store leftovers of these carrots in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days in a covered airtight container. You can reheat the leftovers in the microwave or on a stovetop. If heating on the stovetop you may need to add a little extra water, so they don’t accidentally burn.
