Easy to make and even better to eat piping hot, these warm and gooey sliders take chicken parmesan flavors your family already loves and puts them on a soft Hawaiian roll. These are great for a weeknight dinner, or to enjoy while watching the game!

Why We Love Chicken Parmesan Sliders
- Ready Fast – Cook the chicken, layer everything, and bake. Dinner is on the table in about 30 minutes, which makes these great for busy weeknights or game day snacks.
- Kid Friendly – The small size is perfect for kids, and you can easily pull apart a roll or two to customize for pickier eaters.
- Great For A Crowd – Adults and teens usually go back for two or three, so these work just as well as a warm party or potluck appetizer as they do for dinner.
Ingredients For Chicken Parmesan Sliders

- frozen chicken nuggets – I used Just Bare Chicken nuggets, about 2 per bun. You can use tenders or nuggets, just make sure you have enough chicken per bun!
- Hawaiian rolls
- mozzarella cheese shredded
- marinara sauce – any red pasta sauce works here
- Italian seasoning
- provolone cheese – you could also just use more mozzarella cheese or double up on provolone cheese. The most important part is there is a layer of cheese between the bottom bun and the chicken so the sauce doesn’t make it soggy. The second layer makes these sliders feel cheesy enough.
- butter
- garlic salt – can also use a combo of a sprinkle of garlic powder and a sprinkle of salt
- parmesan cheese – grated like the Kraft

How To Make Chicken Parmesan Sliders
- Preheat the oven to 350. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook the chicken nuggets according to the package directions in the oven or the air fryer, flipping halfway through. I like to add 2-3 minutes to whatever the package says to make sure the chicken is a little extra crispy when I add the sauce.

- Slice the Hawaiian roll horizontally into a large slice of tops and bottoms, setting the tops to the side. Place the bottom half on the sheet pan. Add the mozzarella cheese to the bottom half of the rolls. Adding cheese to the bottom layer helps keep the buns from getting soggy.

- Place the cooked chicken nuggets over the cheese. I aimed for two nuggets per roll. Mix the Italian seasoning into the marinara, then pour the marinara sauce over the chicken as evenly as possible. Place a layer of provolone cheese over the chicken.

- Place the tops of the Hawaiian rolls on top of the sliders. Mix the garlic salt into the melted butter. With a silicone brush, generously brush the butter mixture over top of the buns. Sprinkle generously with parmesan cheese.

- Cover with aluminum foil. Bake the sliders for 15-20 minutes or until the sauce is bubbly and warm. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for five minutes. The tops will begin to lightly brown and the cheese will be melted when ready. Then serve and enjoy!

Chicken Parmesan Sliders Variation Ideas
- Try It With Other Cooked Chicken – The breading on the chicken nuggets gives it more of a chicken parmesan texture, but you can use other precooked chicken or even rotisserie chicken if that’s what you have or prefer.
- Try Another Protein – It won’t be exactly the same as chicken parm, but the flavor will still be delicious. Try thinly sliced steak, cooked ground beef or turkey, or cooked sausage for other options.
- Make Them Dippers – The marinara can get a little messy in a delicious way. You can serve the marinara warm on the side instead and dip the sliders at your plate.
- Leave Off The Butter Garlic Topping – The topping tastes like garlic bread, but you can leave it off if you prefer.
What To Serve with Chicken Parmesan Sliders?
Make a full meal of these sliders by just adding a side or two. Try it with a side of crispy potato wedges or my roasted yellow potatoes. My quick honey mustard carrots or roasted honey garlic baby carrots also make a great quick side dish. You can also serve these with regular chips or tater tots, a green salad, or sliced up fruit.
If you’re serving this to a crowd, try pairing it with a second slider like my ham and cheese sliders, cheeseburger sliders, or pizza sliders. Or add fun finger foods like my pigs in a blanket, cheddar bay sausage balls, crispy garlic parmesan chicken wings or air fryer mozzarella sticks.
Can I Make These Chicken Parmesan Sliders Ahead Of Time?
Sure, you can prep them up to 24 hours in advance. What I prefer to do is cook the chicken nuggets, layer all of the layers, and then stop when I cover the pan with aluminum foil. Slide the pan in the fridge.
Then when you are ready to enjoy, place them in the oven, and just expect it may take a little longer to warm them through so the chicken is warm. Closer to 25-30 minutes is what I found when I tested but check them at 20 minutes, they are finished when they are warm all the way through.
You can also cook them all the way through ahead of time and just reheat them later, my kid enjoys them that way while I prefer them fresh from the oven the first time.
How Do I Keep The Buns From Getting Soggy?
Putting a layer of cheese between the bun and the sauce will help keep the buns from becoming soggy. The buns tend to become soggy when the tomato sauce is placed right up against the bun.
How Long Will Chicken Parmesan Sliders Last?
Leftovers of these chicken parmesan sliders can be enjoyed for about three days.
My daughter reheated them in the microwave for about a minute, and also tried the air fryer at 375 for 3-4 minutes. She enjoyed the leftovers just as much as the original, where I preferred them fresh from the oven.
