How To Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two large-rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl combine the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Dry the wings well with paper towels, which helps to give the wings a crispy skin. Add the wings to the butter mixture and coat completely and evenly.
- Place the wings on the first baking sheet. Sprinkle cornstarch over the wings. Toss to get an even coat of cornstarch all over the chicken wings. Top with parmesan cheese all over the wings, tossing as needed to coat both sides.
- Set the wings on the second pan skin side down. See notes
- Place the wings in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Flip them with tongs half way through the cooking time. Check the wings with a meat thermometer to make sure they reach an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees. See notes about other ways to make them even crispier.
- Serve the cooked wings immediately and enjoy! Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and fresh parsley and serve with a dipping sauce if desired. Enjoy!
What Sauce Should I Serve These Wings With?
Wings are great when they are dipped in a creamy sauce like ranch or blue cheese dressing, or use Buffalo Wild Wings’ parmesan garlic sauce. You could also dip them in buffalo sauce or bbq sauce, or just enjoy them on their own!
Can I Make These Wings In The Air Fryer?
Yes you can make air fryer chicken wings.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and place the wings after following the recipe in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook the wings for 10 minutes, then flip the wings. Cook the wings for another 8-10 minutes or until you have golden brown cripsy wings.
Depending on the size of your air fryer, you will likely need to cook these wings in batches to keep them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You can’t stack these wings or they won’t be crispy. Try these Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings for a different flavor.
How Long Will Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings Last?
Expect that these garlic parmesan chicken wings will last for about three days if stored in a closed airtight container in the refrigerator.
You can reheat leftovers in the microwave, in the oven, or even in the air fryer.
