Variations And FAQ

  • Make It A Parfait- Layer this dip in glasses or in a giant glass bowl with crunchy cookies or pieces of sponge cake in between. Mini parfaits in jars may become one of your new favorite things too!
  • Make It A Pie– Add this dip to a baked graham cracker crust or a baked pie crust for a super easy cold pie filling.
  • Change The Topping– Topping this dip with chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, Reese’s Pieces, MM’s candies, or a drizzle of caramel makes it look super pretty to serve! You can also use other types of peanut butter cups such as the white chocolate cups or the stuffed reese’s pieces cups.
  • Swap Almond Butter– You can make this dip with almond butter or another kind of of nutbutter. Justin’s and Trader Joe’s both make a really delicious almond butter cups and cashew butter cups that would be delicious with this dip.
  • Try Crunchy Peanut Butter– Using smooth or crunchy peanut butter is totally a personal preference. I prefer using a smooth peanut butter myself for a creamy peanut butter dip, but it is delicious with more crunch too.

What Is The Best Snack To Use With This Dip?

There are so many different types of delicious bites you can use for this easy dip recipe. I recommend picking something crunchy that is not too sweet, as the chocolate peanut butter dip itself is on the sweeter side. Crunchy items are delicious with the great creamy flavors in this recipe.

Here are a few of my favorite ideas to try with this delicious peanut butter dip. Add at least one of these ideas to the side for guests to dip or make a whole caricature board and include a bunch of different crunchy cookies with this easy recipe.

  • Wafer Cookies– The cookies in the images here are chocolate wafer cookies, but these light and crispy cookies typically come in vanilla and strawberry flavors as well.
  • Nilla Wafers – These buttery vanilla cookies are the perfect balance of crunchy and vanilla flavor.
  • Shortbread– Similar to Nilla Wafers, these buttery crisp cookies are a great choice.
  • Graham Crackers– Sweet honey graham crackers go with cheesecake so well, and they make the perfect little cookie to dip.
  • Pretzels– Pretzels give a delicious sweet and salty combination when dipped.
  • Nutter Butters– If you want to up your peanut butter game, Nutter Butters or other peanut butter cream sandwich cookies are delicious!
  • Fruit– Try this peanut butter cream cheese dip with apple slices, it is amazing! Strawberries, banana, cantaloupe, blueberries, grapes and other fresh fruit are super delicious with this dip.
  • Brownie Brittle– Crunchy brownie brittle is full of chocolatly flavor and is tasty as a scoopy.

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

Yes, this dip can easily be mixed and made up to twenty-four hours in advance for the best flavor when serving.

I would recommend if making the dip in advance, you wait to add the chocolate drizzle topping and extra Reese’s peanut butter cups to the top until you are ready to serve. This ensures the toppings look their best when serving.

How Long Does This Cheesecake Dip Last?

The dip itself will last in the fridge for up to three to four days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Store any cookies separately from the dip. Putting cookies or other crunchy dippers in the same container as the dip to store them can cause the cookies to get soggy.
