Why We Love Frozen Strawberry Lemonade
- Perfect For A Hot Day – When the temperatures are soaring nothing sounds better than a cold and frosty drink. This strawberry lemonade will have everyone cheering.
- Real Berries Used – Want your kids to enjoy more fruit? Sharing a strawberry lemonade made with real berries is a great way to get a little bit of nutrition along with your sweet treat.
- Budget Friendly – This only takes a few minutes to make and uses frozen strawberries which you can keep on hand without them going bad. You can also take strawberries from the end of the week that are almost too ripe and freeze them to still enjoy without waste. This is also quicker and cheaper than running through a drive-thru for a refreshing drink.
Ingredients For Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

Find the full printable recipe with specific measurements and directions below in the recipe card.
- frozen strawberries – can be purchased frozen or leftover strawberries you froze instead of throwing them away before they went bad.
- water
- lemon juice – can use fresh lemon juice from lemons or lemon juice from a bottle.
- sugar – I used white granulated sugar, but honey or a sugar substitute could be used. Add a little bit at a time but start small, it’s easier to sweeten more than to undo it! You can also use less regular sugar if you prefer, how ripe your berries are will affect how sweet the final lemonade is.
If your blender has trouble with frozen fruit, let the berries sit for a few minutes to soften slightly before blending.
How To Make Frozen Strawberry Lemonade
- Place strawberries, water, lemon juice and sugar in a blender.

- Blend until smooth for about 1 minute. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Frozen Strawberry Lemonade FAQs
You can! Just toss in a handful of ice to help get that slushy texture. Super ripe berries work best for sweet flavor.
Honey works great—start with a little and add more to taste. You can also try a sugar substitute like stevia, Splenda or monk fruit, just check the package for the conversion. Sweeter berries = less sweetener needed!
It’s best fresh, but leftovers can be frozen in an airtight container and re-blended later. Or pour them into popsicle molds for a fun frozen treat!
Fun Variation Ideas For Real Fruit Strawberry Lemonade
Add Toppings! – Whipped cream, cool whip, a slice of lemon or a full strawberry all make this strawberry lemonade feel extra fun. I’ve also made it fancy with a little lemon zest or some fresh mint from my patio plant.

Add A Little Yogurt – Love a creamier drink? Add a little yogurt to make this strawberry lemonade extra creamy. If your yogurt is thick you may need to add a little more water to get the right consistency. Try vanilla, strawberry or any berry flavor.
Scoop In Some Ice Cream – Make your strawberry lemonade “frosted” like chick fil a’s frosted lemonade by adding a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream before blending.
Stir In A Mix Of Berries – Have frozen blueberries, blackberries or raspberries hanging out in the freezer or fridge? You can blend them too for a new lemonade flavor.
Tips For Serving Strawberry Lemonade
Serve with a straw and a spoon – This drink is thick and frosty, so having both makes it easier (and more fun) to sip and scoop.
Perfect for parties – Serve it in smaller cups with a strawberry or lemon slice on the side for a cute summer drink everyone will love.
Leftovers? Make popsicles! – Pour any extra strawberry lemonade into popsicle molds for a fun frozen treat later.
Want the grown-up version? Add a splash of vodka or rum after blending for a fun twist just for the adults. Just be sure to mark them clearly. A different colored cup can help!
How Long Will Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Last?
Frozen lemonade is best if enjoyed immediately. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to make it ahead and keep it at a slushy like consistency. Any leftovers can be stored in the freezer in an airtight container, but they will likely need to be blended again with a little water to enjoy.
You could also store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and blend again with some ice cubes until you get the right texture. Or drink leftovers that melted more like a regular strawberry lemonade.
