Why We Love Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders

  • Family Favorite – Whether you’re serving these sliders for dinner, a movie night, game night or just for dinner, these little sandwiches will be a hit. Made semi-homemade they are fast to assemble so you can spend more time together and less time in the kitchen.
  • Budget Friendly Dinner – I think we all know how expensive everything has been getting lately, and that includes eating at restaurants. So many restaurants have a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. These delicious sliders can give you the taste without draining your wallet.
  • Great For A Party – Sliders can be a great option to feed a group. Mini sandwiches are the perfect size to feed kids! I actually like making a few flavors so everyone can have their favorite for a group. Try it paired with pizza sliders, sloppy joe sliders, or ham and cheese sliders.

  • Hawaiian rolls
  • ranch dressing
  • chicken cooked and diced see notes. I used the chicken from one rotisserie chicken. You can also use shredded chicken or layers of deli chicken if you prefer.
  • bacon cooked and chopped. I don’t recommend using bacon bits unless they are pieces of real bacon, usually called bacon crumbles. See notes in the recipe card at the bottom of the page.
  • colby jack cheese
  • butter melted, we used salted butter. If you have unsalted butter just add an extra 1/4 teaspoon salt to the melted butter
  • garlic salt
  • parmesan cheese grated

How Can I Adjust This Recipe For Picky Eaters?

This recipe is really easy to adjust for picky eaters. Break off the number of slider rolls for the person who needs it, then just layer their sandwiches separately.

You can leave off cheese, leave off ranch dressing, or just build the sandwich however you need. I do find it’s easiest to leave the rolls connected, so if they think they think they want two sliders I’ll break off two rolls but leave the two pieces connected.

Sometimes with my child I’ll even have them layer the sandwich themselves so they add what they want before I prepare the rest of the sliders. If htye only add bacon and cheese, guess they are having BLT’s, ha! It can just help bring a little harmony to the table or party.

Then just back the rolls on the edge of the pan, on a separate pan, or you can even let them enjoy the sandwich cold.

Variations For This Easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Slider Recipe

Swap Out The Cheese – We’ve used colby jack cheese here, but any sliced or shredded melty cheese can work. Try cheddar cheese, provolone cheese or Pepper Jack cheese for a little kick.

Make Them Build Your Own – You could make this into more of a build your own sliders situation. Simply heat up the chicken and bacon, and allow everyone to build their own slider. If you have raw bacon, try making some quick Air fryer bacon, it’ll make it a little quicker to add to the build your own station.

Try Different Meats – We love chicken, but turkey is a great option. You can use cooked ground beef or other ground meats like chicken or turkey to make loose meat sandwiches. Or make burgers like I did with these turkey burger sliders with cheese and grill them. Lastly you can also meal prep some chicken, like this shredded chicken thighs instant pot variety and use some of the chicken for this recipe, and some for a second dinner.

Make Pinwheels – I have made a cold version of chicken bacon ranch pinwheels that also work really well for parties!

Do I Have To Use Hawaiian Rolls To Make This Recipe?

You could load up the filling on other types of rolls, but the filling may not work out exactly. two sliders usually equals about one regular oversized roll, think of bread a little bigger then a hamburger bun like a ciabatta roll.

You could also cut a long french bread baguette in half and then fill it with the toppings and bake.

How Long Will Leftover Bacon Chicken Ranch Sliders Last?

Expect leftovers of these chicken bacon ranch sliders to last for about 3 days if stored in a airtight covered container in the refrigerator. Leftovers can be warmed up in the oven, toaster oven or even in the air fryer.

Notes

We used the meat from a whole rotisserie chicken, which is about 3 cups. You can use any cooked chicken you prefer, or even layer deli chicken lunch meat.
We sometimes use precooked bacon, I really like Costco’s precooked bacon pieces that comes already chopped. You’ll need about a cup and a half of bacon if using precooked bacon. I recommend crisping the bacon up a little in a pan before adding it to the sandwiches. I only recommend using real bacon pieces, not bacon bits.
I’ve used a baking sheet but you can also use a casserole dish for this recipe as long as it’s large enough to fit the rolls.
