Olympics Torch Snacks For Kids: Featuring More Please Mama!
Hi. First off, it’s such an honor to write for Kristy. She just “gets it,” right? We love how she makes food fun, but in the simplest way – that any parent can easily duplicate for their kids to enjoy. (aww you guys are the sweetest, you’re pretty amazing yourselves! Back to More Please Mama now!)
We are so excited to share our Snactivity — it’s all about the Olympics! It’s Opening Ceremonies and we couldn’t be more inspired watching these athletes compete and a great reminder of how important it is to fuel our bodies with the good stuff.
At the start of the 2018 olympics, the Olympic torch reaches its destination from Olympia, Greece to the host city of the Olympics: Pyeoungchang, South Korea. (Did you know it always travels from where the original flame was to the Olympic host city? – we did not until we were writing this but how do we not share it?!)
Sometimes it goes underwater (Sydney 2000), or on a plane. Each stop tells a significant story leading to the Olympic host city. For this year, the flame was carried by 7500 torchbearers (talk about it taking a village!!) and caught a ride to the destination on a robot, steam train, marine cable car and a turtle ship.
The Olympic torch represents the “light of spirit, knowledge and life” (Thanks Google). Our olympics torch snack for kids represents moms trying to sneak in veggies knowing that the ice-cream cone will definitely peak our toddler’s interest.
While the journey of the torch is quite calculated and long, our “snactivity party” is not. This fun Olympics snack for kids can be done in 3 minutes. YES- 3 minutes.
Prep your peppers with the kids for this fun olympic torch snack for kids, a great idea for the olympics
We hope you enjoyed our Olympics snack! In the true spirit of the Olympics, we are so happy to connect, support and cheer each other on through motherhood and eating

About More Please Mama
More please, M A M A is a lifestyle & motherhood blog that recommends products that will be loved, simple “anyone-can-do” food and activity ideas, plus gift ideas. We LOVE to research. I know, I know – boring but everything we post is because we genuinely support it (and will hopefully save you some time looking into things). It’s a welcoming community where you don’t have to be a chef or an artist to accomplish anything we post. Our main goal is to keep it simple, because parenthood is complicated enough. It’s run by myself, Tara, and my mama BFF Emily whom I’ve been friends with for 16 years. I live in NYC via Hoboken and Emily resides in Northern California. Together we have four little ones under the age of four. Our name derives from my wild three-year-old boy saying “more please, Mama” on repeat.
