What Flavor Is Candy Corn?

When I was working on my cookbook Kid Chef Bakes For The Holidays (which includes a really delicious candy corn cookie recipe) I looked up a little more about candy corn flavor. The flavors you are tasting when you bite into candy corn are a mix of honey, vanilla and a buttery flavor.

Candy corn is one of those treats that people feel strongly about they either love or don’t. I personally think candy corn gets the short end of the stick, and the people who dislike it actually might dislike the texture more than the flavor.

Many people do use candy corn for decorating other treats, like in this easy graveyard Halloween poke cake.

How Long Do These Candy Corn Bars Last?

Store candy corn bars in an airtight container. These bars will taste their best if eaten within five days and can be stored on the counter or in the refrigerator. I don’t recommend freezing this bars, as it changes the texture of the marshmallows.
