Creamy, sweet and packed full of berry flavor, this will be your go to smoothie. This delicious drink tastes delicious and is good for you too.
Ingredients
2cupsfresh spinach
¾cupalmond milk or milk of your choice
2cupsmixed frozen berries
½cupvanilla yogurt
1scoopvanilla protein powder optional
1tablespoonchia seedsoptional
Instructions
Place the spinach and almond milk into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
Add frozen berries, yogurt, protein powder, chia seeds into the blender. Blend more until smooth.
If the mixture is too thick add a little more almond milk a 1/4 cup at a time until it is the right thickness. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
If you have a high powered blender you can blend everything at the same time. If your blender is not a high powered blender mixing the spinach and the almond milk first can help to break down the spinach so it's easier to mix everything together smoothly.
If substituting frozen spinach use about 1/3 cup in place of two cups of fresh spinach. Frozen spinach is much more condensed then fresh spinach.
Chia seeds add good extra protein and fiber to the smoothie, but are optional.
Protein powder is also optional in this smoothie but does add a lot of great protein.
