Instructions
Roasting The Potatoes
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Cut the potatoes in half and dry well with a paper towel. In a large bowl add potatoes, olive oil, salt, and pepper and toss well.
1 pound baby potatoes, 1½ tablespoons olive oil, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast until golden brown and fork tender. Potatoes will take about 25-30 minutes, and flipping halfway through will help make sure all sides are crispy.
Making The Burger Sauce
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish until smooth. Set to the side or chill in the fridge until you are ready to use.
½ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1½ tablespoons dill pickle relish
Cooking The Ground Beef
Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil and let it warm, then add the ground beef. Cook until no longer pink, about 7–10 minutes. Drain any excess grease well.
1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 pound ground beef
Add salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef. Cook and stir for about 1 minute. Then remove from the heat and cover with a lid, setting the beef to the side.
½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Making The Bowls
Start with lettuce as the base, then layer potatoes, beef, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, and cheese. Drizzle with burger sauce and enjoy!
4 cups iceberg lettuce, 1 cup cherry tomatoes, ½ cup dill pickles, 1 small red onion, ¾ cup shredded cheddar
Notes
The potatoes can also be roasted in an air fryer at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy golden brown on the outside and tender when poked with a fork. Shaking the basket halfway through cooking will help to crisp the potatoes evenly.Want your burger sauce to taste more like Big Mac Sauce? Try adding a pinch each of paprika, garlic powder and onion powder. I also do this if I leave the relish out of the sauce to give it more flavor.Make the cheese melty by adding it at the very end of cooking the ground beef. Sliced american cheese or other cheese flavors can be added based on your preferences. When it is time to serve, you can easily serve this meal family style and let everyone build their own bowl. I like to add the lettuce to my family's bowls ahead of time, and let them add the ground beef, potatoes and other toppings and sauce to their own preferences.
