Frozen pumpkin yogurt bites are an easy snack for babies, toddlers and kids of all ages. Healthy and delicious, share this simple snack with friends for a fun seasonal Halloween or fall recipe.
Ingredients
1/3cuppumpkin pureefresh or canned
1teaspooncinnamon
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1vanilla yogurtA 5.3 ounces size works great, but a little less or more is ok
1teaspoonhoney or maple syrupmore or less to taste
Instructions
In a bowl place pumpkin puree, cinnamon, vanilla and honey. Mix well with a spoon or spatula.
Add the yogurt to silicone pumpkin mold, filling each bite halfway.
Then add sweetened pumpkin mixture to fill each silicone mold spot. It looks a little messy!
Freeze for one to two hours or until frozen solid. Pop-out the bites from the silicone mold and enjoy!
Notes
Once filling the mold, swirl with a toothpick for a fun fancier look! Makes 12-15 bites depending on the size of your mold.
To give it even more of a pumpkin pie flavor, try adding half a teaspoon of nutmeg along with using the maple syrup for the sweetener. This combo was thumbs up for me and my husband, but the kid preferred the combo originally listed in this recipe.
