Walking tacos are delicious tacos in a bag you make for a delicious dinner perfect for a group, party, camping trip or tailgating. This dinner has a really easy clean up, as you eat right from the bag, and everyone can pick their favorite taco toppings.
Ingredients
For The Taco Meat
1poundground beef
½cuponiondiced
2tablespoonstaco seasoning
15ouncesblack beansone can, about 1 1/2 cups cooked beans
1cupsalsa
21ouncescorn chipswe used 6 3.5 ounce bags, see notes
For The Toppings (all toppings are optional to your own taste)
1cupmexican-blend cheeseshredded
1cuplettuceshredded or chopped
½cupsour cream
½cupsalsa
3tablespoonsgreen onionssliced
Instructions
To Make The Taco Meat
Place the ground beef and onion in a skillet on medium heat. Brown the meat for 5-7 minutes or until the meat is fully cooked. Drain any excess liquid from the meat.
Add in the taco seasoning, black beans, and 1 cup of salsa to the ground beef. Heat for 2-3 minutes or until warm all the way through then place in a serving bowl.
Assembling Walking Tacos With Toppings
Open the bags of chips. To each bag add about 1/4 cup of the warm meat mixture.
In each bag of chips top the meat mixture with shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream, extra salsa, and green onions or other toppings as desired. Eat out of the bag with a fork and enjoy!
