How To Make Instant Pot Italian Sausage

  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 5-6 Large Italian Sausage Links
  • ½ Cup Chicken Broth
  • .5 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon parsley


  1. Turn your Instant Pot to sauté mode and add your oil of choice to the pot.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add sausages in a single layer to the bottom of the pan.
  3. Brown the sausages on all sides, turning so they cook evenly. This should take 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add broth and Italian spices to the pot.
  5. Set your Instant Pot to manual mode/pressure cooker mode for 14 minutes. Close the lid and start the Instant Pot.
  6. Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release for five minutes after the cycle has finished.
  7. Carefully press the quick release lever on the top of the pot to let out any additional steam, then open the pot.
  8. Check your sausage with a meat thermometer, it should register 160 degrees.
  9. Slice or add to a bun and enjoy!
